Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. Her most famous role was that of Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Leading Performance by a Supporting Actress in a a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and discovered her love for acting during her time at the Preparatory School. In the late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. Theatre studies took place through Northwestern University. A semester was taken in the British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons working in Chicago theater before transitioning to TV and film roles. Anna was chosen to play Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. At the beginning of 1990, Anna was a frequent actor in both film and TV like Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Martha Bullock played two full seasons of Deadwood that was shot between 2000 and 2001. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully in addition to Deadwood was another film she was a part of. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn appeared in a series of audio-play podcast titled Numbered Days. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on the relationship he has with Skyler are mirrored in the television show.
